Duties & Responsibilities

As the Finance Officer at Afghan Cosmos Group, you will be responsible for the following:

·        Financial Management: Manage and oversee the financial operations of ACG, including budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow management.

·        Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

·        Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and analysis.

·        Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and provide financial projections for projects and operations.

·        Payroll: Administer payroll and ensure timely and accurate disbursement of salaries to employees.

·        Taxation: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of tax returns.

·        Audit: Facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and cooperating with auditors.

·        Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve financial performance.

·        Financial Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations.

·        Other Duties: Perform any other finance-related tasks as assigned by senior management.

Job Requirements

·        Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial management or a related field.

·        Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

·        Language Skills: Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English, Pashto, and Dari.

·        Technical Skills: High-level proficiency in MS Office applications and internet usage.

·        Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and partners.

·        Analytical Skills: Strong conceptual and analytical skills to support financial decision-making.

·        Punctuality: Must be punctual and hardworking with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

·        Pro-Active: A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and address financial needs.

·        Accounting: Strong accountancy skills with comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks.
